If you are single and divorced and have legal custody of your child, you can provide only your name as the parent's name in the CBSE registration form as per CBSE Registration Rules. In this case, you can mention yourself as the only parent of the child, and you do not need to mention the name of the other parent.

However, if the other parent has legal custody or joint custody of the child, their name will also need to be mentioned in the CBSE registration form, along with yours.

It is essential to provide accurate information in the registration form to avoid any future discrepancies or issues during the admission process.

No it is not mandatory. You have an option to either include mother's name or father's name. Yes in your case as per provision 68 of the CBSE certification rules only mother's name can be given for CBSE registration.

No, you cannot give only the mother's name for the CBSE registration of your child but if you want to remove her biological father's name from her registration certificate you need to get the consent of the biological father of your child. It was held that a judgment of a court of law deciding the issue of child custody does not abrogate, reduce, or alter the vigor of the legal character of the relationship between the ward and guardian. So this can be done only if he consents thereto. Naveen Dogra vs CBSE AIR 2013. File a declaratory suit against his father for the removal of his name. If the father agrees, then you can remove his name. The name cannot be removed without his consent because the child has some interest and right in his father's property even after the divorce of the parents. .
