If you are single and divorced and have legal custody of your child, you can provide only your name as the parent's name in the CBSE registration form as per CBSE Registration Rules. In this case, you can mention yourself as the only parent of the child, and you do not need to mention the name of the other parent.

However, if the other parent has legal custody or joint custody of the child, their name will also need to be mentioned in the CBSE registration form, along with yours.

No it is not mandatory. You have an option to either include mother's name or father's name. Yes in your case as per provision 68 of the CBSE certification rules only mother's name can be given for CBSE registration.

No, you cannot give only the mother's name for the CBSE registration of your child but if you want to remove her biological father's name from her registration certificate you need to get the consent of the biological father of your child. It was held that a judgment of a court of law deciding the issue of child custody does not abrogate, reduce, or alter the vigor of the legal character of the relationship between the ward and guardian.
