Is it compulsory to take marriage certificate from local registrar

Hello Sir, I want to know that is it compulsion to take marriage certificate from local registrar .my name is feroz and i'm 26 married on 2015 at my native place. quazi given us marriage certificate in urdu. but now the problme is i'm working in construction company in pune, and my hr is asking for marriage certificate from local registrar they are saying your marriage certificate which is in urdu is not legeal! is it?
Marriage Certificate is not not a compulsory for Muslim marriage. Your certificate is in vernacular, all you require is getting the same translated to english with all due attestations on the translated document(s).
