How to apply for fresh passport after seperation

I'm a Muslim lady.l have applied for fresh passport. I'm separated but have my marriage certificate. I have other documents like adhar card, ration card pan card, etc in my maiden name.Do I need to make the affidavit of Annexture K? Kindly advice at the earliest. Thanksp
If the divorce proceedings have not finalised and marriage has not yet dissolved by decree of divorce the status of the parties is that of still married, neither divorcee nor single.
Wait for the divorce proceedings to complete and order made as well decree of the divorce issued by the court, after that the status will be that of "Divorcee" for both parties.
Do not mention the status as "Single" for obtaining the passport as by giving wrong information to the passport authorities about yourself, you will be committing a crime, punishable under the Passport Act, anyone making complaint against you to passport authorities will attract troubles for you as well the passport so obtained will be cancelled by the authorities and new passport may not be issued in future.
Never take any government authority for granted.
