Father has haryana OBC certificate,will it be valid in another state

I filed for my wife's OBC certificate in delhi. Her father is also belong to OBC category in haryana. Now when applying for the same in delhi the authorities asked us that the father of the girl has to have resident proof of delhi. I am also an OBC certificate holder. What should i do now?
In this case you need to look upon the category which a person belongs to. If you belong to state obc category then you can not take benefit in multiple states.if it is the obc category for india then it will be equally applicable to all the states.
