Eligibility to apply for OBC certificate

Sir,my father joined in Tamilnadu govt service as Assitant Engineer in agrl.engg Dept on 11.2.1983 and promoted as Executive Engineer at the age of 57 and retired on 30.4.2017 and my mother joined as BT Assitant in Tamilnadu Govt High School on 1.9.1998,now working as Head master,in High School.Sir, whether i am eligible to get OBC or not.
The Government of Tamil Nadu classifies certain communities, based on socioeconomic considerations, as BC, MBC and OBC. The lists of such communities are published in the Official Gazette. You have to apply to the Tahsildar's Office through the VAO concerned for obtaining such certificate.
