Different father's name in documents how can I apply for passport

My father's real name is "Shrikant" and normally called as "Sudhir." 20 years back while taking birth certificate from Municipal office nick name was put as my father's real name and the same remains in all my educational documents (SSC, HSC, Graduate Degree). I am having Aadhar, PAN card, Driving licence with real name of my father. Now I want to go abroad for higher education. What should I do to get the Pass port? Kindly tell me various options available to solve this problem.
