Did not use caste certificate in initial years but now can I use it

My father belongs to Scheduled caste,so i inherent the same.but due to some reasons i completed my education without the caste certificate and with my caste as OC(general)..can i apply for the caste certificate now by submitting my father's caste?
All your documents suggest that you belong to the general category. The documents have to be changed and which is difficult. I would suggest you to file a RTI with the requisite departments asking them for change in caste and is it possible. According to me it is not possible at this stage.
