Damage of Goods Records due to Water Fall police denying FIR

My query we have a factory in MIDC where due to heavy rainfall the water started coming inside the shed which damaged or furniture documents , raw materials. We are trying the police to give us the NC/FIR copy however they denied to accept the same they are not ready to give us any acknowldge copy neither any communication. Please let us know the law in which the police is bound to give the NC FIR Copy. Thanks
If the police refuse to acknowledge your Complaint letter you can send it by registered post to them and CC to the Commissioner's office. Generally on saturdays the ACP of the area also visits each police station to hear the grieviance of public,timing will be put up at the police station at times on the website also.
