Correction in caste from transfer certificate

Sir/Mam, I am studying in B.com, But I can't avail the benefits of OBC due to the mistake in my caste. I belongs to Jain Shimpi (OBC) But from my school TC there is only mentioned the JAIN caste only. Plz... Say Which process should I try?
For considering yourself in obc you have to either take a caste certificate from the local municipality or corporation, or collector who ever is prevailing in your area. Than you may submit that certificate to your college for scholarship

it is very much necessary to mention the sub caste wherever you mention your caste. you need to obtain the caste certificate to get the benefit of that p[articular caste. for obc caste certificate follow the procedure
1. Application is to be made in the prescribed Proforma Affix Court fee stamp of Rs.5/- on the application
2. (i)School leaving certificate or extract of birth certificate (original with an attested copy)
(ii)School leaving certificate or extract of birth certificate or the copy of the first page of the service book of the grand father, father, paternal uncle or aunt
3. b) The following proof to prove the ordinary residence
Attested copies of the first and the last page of the Ration Card / electricity bill /extract of the electoral roll / rent receipt
For O.B.C. The applicant or his father /grand father should be the ordinary residence of Mumbai City on the following dates 13.10.1967
