Converted from Hindu to Christian can I get minority certificate

Actually I wanted to know is it possible for someone who have recently converted from Hinduism to Christianity to get a minority certificate? And if yes what is the procedure and documents required?
You can change your religion but you cannot change your caste. If you are born in a Hindu family and you have changed your religion to Christianity then you cannot claim minority certificate for Christians.
