Clarification on validity of SC certificate

Sir, I belong to Lohar caste in Himachal. I was issued a S.C.certificate as per legal documents.I have been living here past 39 years and I was issued both SC and Bonafide Himachali certificates. But now they say it is wrongly issued as I basically belong to Punjab. Please guide.
It depends where you were born and registered you birth certificates also, if you have been a resident of Himachal Pradesh till 10th standard then you are eligible for the said benefits.
