Can I make power of attorney to sell flat

I have purchased a flat in 2012 with the help of HDFC loan. Now I want to sell the same. As I shall be in Mysore and would not be available for the transaction Can I execute a Power of Attorney in my wife's name when the liability with HDFC is subsisting and whether the PA can be registered. If the same could not be done what is the recourse in my absence
You can sell your flat through your wife by giving her General Power of Attorney to act on your behalf to sign on all the documents on your behalf in your absence. A General power of attorney needs to be registered to hold validity.
