Agreement validity for website developing work

11-Feb-2023 (In Documentation Law)
I am a freelance website developer, i want to make my clients sign an agreement/contract before starting any job. Will a plain paper agreement suffice or does it have to be on stamp paper?

Getting the agreement on a plain paper will have the same weightage as that on any other document if both the parties have signed the paper. But it's better you get the agreement on a 100rs bond paper which will have more weightage then a.l normal plain paper.

It is merely a service agreement. you can make a proper draft on a blank paper with the legal terms and get it agreed and signed by both the parties with two witnesses if possible. If the contract is very important and for a long term with a sizable amount of consideration, then it is advisable to go for a stamp paper.
