Wife filed for maintenance case and I don't want to give that
28-May-2023 (In Divorce Law)
My wife leave a year before and the reason she has given is that I m impotent than her father defamed me and my family... How ever I don't want to leave her but her family pressurized my parents to married her off with my younger brother.. They humiliated me..threatened me so I filed divorce case ,they didn't come for two hearing and I got a notice of maintenance case of 20k while my own income is meagre... Anyhow I took another date but now completely clueless why to do ???

Whether maintenance can be granted or not That depends upon several factors like whether the wife is employed or not. Again she has to also explain what was the physical or mental torture inflicted on her by the husband. And several other factors. If the wife is working then she is not entitled for any maintenance
