Wife defaming husband's female colleague

30-Jul-2023 (In Divorce Law)
My wife got copy of the chat between me and my male friends in which we discussed about my close friendship with a female colleague. My wife took screenshots of the chat and sent to the husband of my female colleague. How can I prevent her from damaging my reputation as well as the reputation of my female colleague, and what legal action can I take against my wife who has gone to her parental home and we have not yet filed any legal complaint against each other. Please advise

I would suggest you to file a defamation case against your wife through that female friend of yours and not through you directly as it would make your relationship with your wife even bitter. That female friend has an actionable claim against your wife to which you can testify to it at a later stage if needed. If you need my legal assistance, you may consult me.

Your issue seems to be very serious in nature. First and foremost I would advise you to seem a detailed consultation from a lawyer having expertise in family laws. Further my prima facie view is to file an intallah peshbandi application as a precautionary measure. For further legal advice you may contact

If you are not in talking terms with your wife and wish to go legal then you can anytime file a petition under section 9 HMA before the family court. But first of all I would suggest you to send a legal notice to her parental home to figure out what's going on in her mind regarding you. For more legal assistance I am just a call away.

first of all you must try to resolve yourself by talking to her. It it doesn't work out, Send her legal notice with a detailed mention of what she did and finally ask her to live with you. there are chances that she might sue you for domestic violence, dowey and maintenance. These things should be well written in the legal notice.
