Wife complained to police now threatening to file dowry case
18-Sep-2023 (In Divorce Law)
My wife in her complaint to the police today told them that I have been asking money from her family every now and then. I am thinking that she will file for Dowry case very soon. What should be my plan of action now?
Hi
It is likely that police will call you for counselling.
Alternatively, you can also approach the High court under section 482 of Cr.P.C for quash/stay of proceedings/not to arrest under 498A and DP act.

HI,
sir it's better for you to file divorce case against her or otherwise compromise with her take the help of your elders and talk to her and solve the problem. if she filed any case against you under criminal or civil procedure you will definitely face the problem. at least to counter blast that you file case against her in the family court under cruelty head. this will save you to some extent.
