Dear client,
you put the matter before elders before you file petition for divorce. You engage an expert civil advocate who has experience in dealing matters family cases or elders to proceed with, to give articles or alimony. Tell the opposite advocate through your advocate, terms of compromise like putting articles and alimony with elders and after getting order of divorce elders will give the same to opposite party. But don`t give articles and other money before filing of petition. You will be cheated.

.Here it all depends the terms and conditions that were entered between you and your wife. Coming to permanent alimony till the date of getting divorce put the amount in Joint FDR's or FDR in her name and keep the original bonds with you. Coming to the articles enter into an MOU and get them signed by the other party

Hi,
Alimony is finalised only at the time of divorce decree and hence you are required to pay only after decree. So you need to file the petition first. It looks like the other side lawyer is asking for payment of alimony and return of articles as a precondition to file for mutual consent divorce by both parties.

I think going by your facts your case is that of an agreement reached between your wife and you for mutual divorce. That is why your wife's Advocate is suggesting you to give permanent alimony along with articles. The Court will grant permanent alimony if your wife seeks for or if it is a joint Petition for divorce you can mention the amount of permanent alimony in the petition itself. After six months of filing of joint Petition for divorce if you and your wife still wants divorce then court will grant the divorce after taking evidence. While granting divorce the Court will also grant the permanent alimony to your wife as stated in your joint Petition for divorce. So if you have doubts then you explain to your wife's Advocate about your doubts.
