Widows right on Mother-in-law property

My sister husband expired in accident he has No property but entire property on Mother-in-law and she has govt job can she demand for maintenance for her and child or any right on property.

Widow cannot claim the self acquired properties of in laws. However, if there is a share for the deceased husband or the husband had contributed to the purchase of the property the the same can be claimed. Otherwise, widowed daughter-in-law can claim for maintenance from the father-in-law and if he is no more then from mother-in-law if she has sufficient means and the widow is unable to maintain herself.
