When should NRI appear in court for Divorce proceedings

I am currently in US, my wife is in India, i will apply for divorce in India, i can come back to India next year on June 2024. my questions are as follows:n1.Can my lawyer in India apply for divorce proceedings without me physically present in India.n2. When will i be asked to be present in court in India.n3. Can i appoint my father as power of attorney.

It depends on the court in which you are going to file the case. In district family courts party must be present. In subordinate courts party's presence is required at certain stages only. Your case being a matrimonial dispute, your father will be able to participate for limited purpose only.
