What will happen to the maintenance case if we start living together

My wife wants to live together after 5yrs of separation but she doesn't want to withdraw the maintenance case. In lieu she wants me to pay all the remaining bank loan against our flat which is co-registered but loan paid by me since 2012. nnPlease suggest if the case would still remain active while we start living together...and what should I ask from her to safeguard myself from, if anything.

Hi, Your wife can ask for maintenance even after separation and also while living together if it satisfies the court that you are not maintaining her basic necessities. Further, no it’s not mandatory for you to pay the entire loan amount in name of maintenance.

We can file the application in this regard before the court. After examining the facts the court will grant the relief. You have to appear before the court with your advocate after filing appropriate application.
