Dear,

As the divorce will be a contested one, it can take a few years. Though the exact time period of a divorce case cannot be pre-determined, it can take around 2-3 years for the family court to decide the case.

Dear Sir/Madam,

What is her intention? Is she want to harras her husband or she wants Divorce from her husband?

There is no specific time for 498A & 420 IPC. Only harassment, cruelty, Additional Divorce and Cheating has to prove in the court.

HI
1) In general a 498a and 420 case takes about 2 years at courts to pronounce the orders/Judgments.
2) Divorce proceedings also take about 2 years time at courts, but your sister can claim interim relief's like maintenance, child custody, residence orders etc during the pendancy of the suit.

Hope this information is useful.
