Decree of divorce is the court order issued under the authority of the family law judge on the dissolution of marriage and related matters like division of marital assets and child custody ..etc. Divorce certificate contains the same thing as the decree and usually contains the name of the spouses and the date on which their marriage got dissolved. A divorced person normally use the divorce certificate for various legal purposes as evidence of the divorce. As such there is no waiting period to remarry for the divorce under mutual consent- but it is always better to wait for a period of 90 days after the date of decree of divorce.

1. Both are one and same. The court will not issue divorce certificate. It will called as Decree only. 2. Once the decree of divorce is passed then, that person can go for re-marry. Until that he will be presumed to be married and his earlier marriage is in force. 3. Decree of divorce will be signed by the Judge after getting signature of the parties to the divorce petition on the order sheet as consenting to the divorce. 4. Yes if the order is passed in the absence of other party, then that party having liberty to challenge the said order. 5. You can apply for the certified copy of the order sheet and the agreement if any signed by them before the mediation. If you have doubt call me
