What are the grounds for divorce

03-May-2023 (In Divorce Law)
I have lodged a case under Protection of Women under DV Act 2005 against my husband. He has now filed a Divorce petition on the grounds that this case is cruelty against him. Is it a valid ground for divorce?

I assume that he must have put some more other reasons to show cruelty. Kindly go through the divorce petition again. Cruelty includes both mental and physical cruelty. Mental cruelty can be widely interpreted. It includes almost everything which cause mental trauma. Cruelty is a valid ground for divorce. Your husband can take it as a ground for divorce.

Hi

Cruelty is the ground for divorce provided by the Hindu marriage act therefore it is considered as valid ground for ground

The factum of cruelty is to be priced on merits then only it becomes admissible

Adultery, Conversion, Mental disorder/Unsound Mind, Leprosy, Venereal disease, Renounced the World, Not heard alive for seven years, Judicial Separation, No Resumption of Co-habitation, Cruelty these are the grounds of divorce under Hindu Marriage Act, CRUELTY is one of the ground but it is very difficult to prove the same, any evidence with him?
