What amount of alimony can wife claim after divorce?

29-Dec-2023 (In Divorce Law)

We have been married since 4 years. My wife has lot of ego problems & always just keep suspecting me & blaming me for nonsense reasons. She is irresponsible & keep fighting always for silly reasons. After fights she keeps going to her parents home for longer duration. My wife & her father who is retired ACP, always just keeps blaming me which has caused my entire family to suffer a lot. She is well educated (masters), works in government bank as Manager and owns a property (1 BHK flat) on her name. In case of divorce, what can they demand as alimony in worst case situation?

As you have stated above if she is working and earning more than or nearly equal to your income she will not get any alimony from the court. If she is earning less and you are earning much more the court may after taking into consideration your expenses and expenses of person's dependent on you may award some amount as alimony to her.

Dear client working women is not entitled for maintenance but she can ask one time alimony with divorce. If u proved in court her cruel attitude then court may reject her divorce and alimony. If court order for alimony then while passing amount will consider yr financial position and yr earning. For any legal help call me

Normally it depends upon ur lifestyle, lliving standards and ur income. It is always advised that instead of going alone for divorce try to settle the issue or go for mutual consent divorce.as u are aware that our law favors women and ur father n law is retired ACP so it is better that u both agree for mutual divorce after due discussion.
