We have moved to NZ 3 years ago and both are having marital problems and have decided to get a mutual consent divorce. Please let me know if that's possible from here, as we got married under the special marriage act in Hyderabad in 2005.

if the petition is duly signed by power of attorney holder or constituted attorney and verified copy of original valid power of attorney deed or constituted attorney deed is filed along with the petition, then the parties need not apply for permission to present the petition for mutual consent divorce.
