We got cheated by a lawyer she gave us wrong information.

I have paid a huge amount to my lawyer for the divorce but she handed over me notary stamp paper divorce now I got to know that it is not legal n the worst scenario is I already got married to someone else..I don't know what should I do now.

Do the divorce in mutual consent for the first marriage and go for remarry with second husband in a registered way if nobody had any objection then go for the same will explain in detail and will do the same with reasonable fee and authentic work guaranteed .

Don't worry, you have right to complain against that lawyer to Bar Council Of India and further you could adopt the legal route for divorce to your first wife and after that marry your second wife say as per court marriage

If there's no scope of living together then rather stretching the relationship you should file for contested divorce under the ground of cruelty. I would suggest you to go with mutual divorce because it's cost effective and ends up in a maximum of six months. For more legal assistance I am just a call away.

Notory divorce is not valid in the eyes of law as you have to seek a decree of dissolution of marriage by filing a Petition under Section 13 of the Hindu Marriage Act. If you have remarried that marriage Would not be valid as Bigamy is an offence in India and you cannot marry unless you have been granted a decree of Divorce by the Court. Do seek a detailed legal consultation
