Want to file for divorce case on the grounds of cruelty

27-May-2023 (In Divorce Law)
I wish to file for a divorce against my wife on grounds of cruelty and was keen to know if there are any legal clauses or different options available for those belonging to Scheduled Tribes ( Hindu) where marriage was performed as per Hindu rites and rituals, living in a city ( and not tribal areas). Lawyers having dealt with similar cases or having good knowledge in such matters would be very helpful.

You can file for divorce however cruelty will have to be proved. No separate laws for scheduled castes . If one gets married as per Hindu law, then divorce will also be as per Divorce act 1869 and areas of residence have no bearing unless you stay in Goa where the Portuguese code applies.
