Making it simple for your understanding your query is addressed by breaking it into parts. 1. Maintenance is the right which is generally given, however this general rule is subject to exceptions. 2. For annulment of marriage there are limited grounds and information mentioned herein is insufficient to advice whether you are entitled for such relief. For precise advice proper analysis of the facts is required.

We can understand your grief Marriage done at that age is voidable, and steps can be taken for the same. However, details and facts need to be discussed in order to strategize the best way so that no question of alimony/ other issues arise. Thank You

Hello in your case we can file for annulment since valid marriage age for males in india is 21 years. Further based upon your reasons for forced marriage we can prove in court that your marriage was a forced one

A petition can be filed before the appropriate district court/family court seeking annulment under the Prohibition of Child Marriage Act and/or a declaration of nullity under personal law (for example, Section 11 of the Hindu Marriage Act if applicable). 1 3 Even if the marriage is declared void, courts have recognised that the wife can still claim maintenance and other reliefs to prevent her from being left destitute
