Want to end a relation where no legal marriage took place

I have been in a relationship since 15 years. I have a daughter.I was not happy since day one and I always wanted to break the relation. But the man with whom I have been in relation he always threatend me that he will torture me till my death but never make me free from this relation. I wanted to make police complain but he told me as we had no legal marriage so no police complain will be filed against him. Can u please suggest me how can I legally free from this relation..I m tired..
dear client as per your query since you have a child how come no legal marriage were you only in relationship and married did you do court marriage or if you have the photo of marriage then also you can apply for divorce...

first of all it is not clear that who is the father of your daughter.
secondly if your daughter's father is another man and you are divorced and from last 15 years you are in a relationship with present man then you can easily file a complain at your nearest police station and lodge a FIR in reference of physical relation under false pretext of marriage and also physical assault. it will help you free from this toxic relationship.
