Since your husband is unwilling for mutual divorce, you can file for contested divorce under grounds of desertion, cruelty or irretrievable breakdown of marriage, as he has been absent for over 1 year. Engage a lawyer, file a petition under the relevant marriage law applicable to your conversion and reconversion status, and provide proof of his abandonment . The court can grant divorce even without his consent if grounds are proved.
