Visit to Mahila Thana on the basis of Call

30-Jul-2023 (In Divorce Law)
My wife is staying away from me since 3.5 months, she went to her brothers marriage and after that didn't return. On asking for a family meeting their parents refuse to come to our home. Yesterday i got a call from Mahila Thana Bijnor(U.P) asking me to come and settle the dispute with my wife. On asking about what is the complaint or what its all about she didn't mentioned anything but asked me to come in 7 days else she will register the FIR for my wifes application. I am staying in Bangalore. I want to know is it mandatory to visit the Mahila Thana with the information sent to me over a call. There has been no notice and also they are not giving information about what this complaint is all about? Can i ask them to send me a summon? Let me know if anything else can be done here.

sir it is advised that you do not visit the police station unless you receive a notice from police station, further you can just engage an advocate advocate and get the fir and complaint copy then get the anticipatory bail, further if you want you can file a divorce petition or petition for restitution of conjugal rights in family court Bangalore and let her come to Bangalore.

Sir, as per the guideline of the supreme Court, when the complaint registered against the husband and his family, formally the police call upon you and your parents for enquiry purpose. You can go with all the information and supportive documents. if the police trying to deviate the matter or that to arrest or taking in to custody immediately, just request to police take up the counseling in another day for settlement. Just escape from the police station and apply the anticipatory bail in the concerned jurisdictional court. after obtained the bail, then only you attend the counseling of police station.
