Validity of Divorce Decree Obtained

Our marriage was solemnized in India .Since,we are both living and working in Kuwait, she had filed for divorce in Kuwait court and decree was obtained. I did not contest for the case since I was approving for the same.Please advice if this decree is valid in India or how this decree be validated in India.
If your marriage is solemnised in India definitely you have to get the divorce from India. Kuwait court decree is not applicable here. It does not have any validity here. Both of you can file a joint petition here where your marriage was solemnised.

From the facts stated, the decree is valid in our country as well. It could be that your wife has already got the decree validated in our country. If you are so particular in getting the same validated, you can approach the Family Court concerned.
