Though, Arya Samaj Certificate is not a valid proof of a marriage. Still, it is suggested that husband and wife execute a consent terms agreement between themselves and file for a Mutual Divorce in the Family Court.
Both husband and wife will be required to remain present before the court 3 times for getting a mutual divorce from the court. The entire process takes approximately 8-9 months.

Well, as the British Citizen Girl got married here in India with an Indian Passport Holder Boy, thus having Indian Citizenship, such couple need to take Divorce in India, either unilateral or Mutual one, as their marriage took place here before Arya Samaj Temple as per Hindu Vedic Ceremony.
yes you will need to file for divorce to avoid future complications or claims if any done by your spouse. as the marriage was done in India, u can file for divorce in India if your husband is cooperating then mutual divorce is quite easy and simple. plus u can even do it online without coming to indian.
