For decree of divorce through mutual consent , you require to file petition two times called first motion and second motion. First motion will be filed in the beginning and the second motion after six month of the first motion i.e. at least six months period for any reconciliation is given. But supreme court may wave this period, looking on facts and circumstances of the case.
