Time for appeal to be heard at Karnataka High court
30-Aug-2023 (In Divorce Law)
My Divorce case got dismissed at the lower court and have filed for an appeal at the KArnataka High court. This has been more than 45 days now and has not yet been heard. What is the average time taken for the cases to come up. Any way the process can be hastened
Usually the first hearing happens within 6mths , in case of emergency the advocates files a posting memo before the appropriate judge and seeking permission for the case to listed for the next day...

It depends upon the cases listed before the court. If your number is listed in last number then it may not reach earlier. Your advocate has to move Memo before the concerned court and has to do the follow up at pending branch and board branch and has to get the confirmation from board branch about the listing of matter before court as per the date mentioned in Memo. Hence contact your advocate there is no limitation fixed by the court for any case it depends on your advocate and opposite advocate submission before the court when matter posts before the court. Therefore time limitation cannot be fixed.
