Territory Jurisdiction in Divorce case

I am the husband filed divorce petition in my residing area, court admitted the petition and run the case for 13 months after paper publication court now suppose to pass exparte judgement kept it hold asking territory Jurisdiction. We don't know where respondent wife staying and we served paper publication to their last address and now judge asking clarifications with some reference judgements to pass order. He saying husband can't file divorce in his residence place. Can't pass order. Pls sugge
