12-Oct-2025 (In Divorce Law)
My husband does not speak to me properly when I try talking he raises his voice and starts to shout at me. Does not go anywhere with me. He has physically not touched me since a month now. So no sex as well. I feel isolated and broken. We are newly married only for 4 months. We have stayed together only for about 2 months

You can file annulment petition before the District judge. Contested divorce cannot be filed until one year expires from your marriage. If you ever feel unsafe, emotionally or physically: You have the right to leave the shared home, You can get legal protection under DV Act 2005

It is important to find out the reason behind why your husband is behaving in such a manner. It is better you talk about it with your husband's relatives so that they can mediate to find out the reasons behind such attitude of your husband towards you and resolve the issue.

Silent treatment also is a mental cruelty, and it can be the ground of divorce and a men/ womens right to be loved from her/his partner, sexual intercourse is the right arises from the marriage, if someone deny the other partner, then she/he can claim divorce as it is mental cruelty upon him/ her. there is a provision in law for divorce and also on nullity ground.

It seems that your marriage is only 4 months old, it is very little age to take any legal action against this unless there is any event of domestic violence. Try to mediate and get to know the reason for which he is avoiding you. If any specific ground is found then we can explore the legal angels. if there is anything apart from what is written that needs to be informed for proper opinion
