Settled in Mediation - D.V & 498A, Execution

19-Mar-2024 (In Divorce Law)
Our case has settled during district court Mediation. An amount has been agreed. Now who will bear the cost of filling Divorce petition, quashing of 498 A in High court. What could be the possible amount of all this ? Will complaints have to pay the entire cost or it will be borne by both the parties jointly.

depends on you whether in settlement in mediation if you have agreed that who will pay... if not then both the parties can share it equally. the fir will be quashed in high court by agreeing to the terms in mediation of your settlement

It's all written in the settlement deed itself that who will bear the litigation charges of the divorce petition as well as for the quashing of FIR in the High Court. Generally it is beared equally by both the parties. For more legal assistance I am just a call away.

You will both shoulder the financial burden equally. Since the divorce is proceeding by mutual consent, and the quashing can be handled by the same lawyer, dividing the expenses evenly is non-negotiable unless you opt for individual legal representation. Fairness dictates equal sharing of the costs involved.
