Second Marriage & DV Case. Earning well and a kid from the first marg

12-Jun-2024 (In Divorce Law)
Hello All, This is my 2nd marriage. I was a widow whereas my husband was a divorcee. We got married a year back. I have a 4 year old kid from my first marriage & has got a gazette from court and changed name. My husband was abusive verbally initially, but later turned violent and started hitting. I have now filed a DV Case. As soon as he received the summon, he filed a divorce case at his place. What are the legal rights I can have now. I am well earning, but unable to sustain myself.

You may write to the court where your husband has filed divorce case mentioning that you cannot attend the court there and that you have filed cases at your place. You may also apply for transfer of the case to your place.
