Hi there, at first marrying someone with a spouse already living makes the marriage void in itself. So, we'll have to check the validity of marriage how i.e. how the marriage got executed. Prima facie marriage itself is void the. she has no obligation to live with arif. However, it's advisable to contact me and provide more details to assist you better with the issue.

Ask your wife file a case against Arif & get stay order from court restraining Arif from interfering in her life . She may also record threatening calls & file police complaint against Arif. Are you interested to keep her with you . Firstly if your wife has officially married Arif . Are both parties Mohammedan then as per Muslim law she should file case for nullify .

She should immediately break all contact with Arif and keep records of his threats. Threatening suicide is a form of emotional blackmail and amounts to harassment. She can lodge a complaint at the local police station under Sections 506 and 509 IPC for criminal intimidation and harassment. If he continues, she may also seek protection under the Domestic Violence Act for restraining orders. In parallel, she should inform her family and close friends for emotional support. The law does not hold her responsible for his decision to harm himself; instead, his threats can be used as evidence of coercion. Legal help from a local lawyer will ensure notices and protection orders are filed quickly.

Arif’s threats of suicide are a form of harassment. If he carries on with such threats, you should immediately make a written complaint at the police station so that the matter is on record. This will protect your wife from any false implication in case he harms himself. Your wife can clearly inform Arif that she no longer wishes to continue the relationship. Once this communication is made, she should avoid further personal contact with him. If he continues to harass her or threatens her safety, you can also file a complaint for criminal intimidation and harassment.
