Regarding DLSA Free Lawyer case handling potentiality

01-Feb-2024 (In Divorce Law)
I am 54 years old Housewife. I have no financial or family support except my husband. But he filed divorce case against me. I met with District Legal Service Authority, and they appointed free advocate for me. Please tell me, will she properly handle my case though it is free service?

it usually depends on the advocate concerned. but if you cannot actually hire a private lawyer then it's the best hope for you. try to follow the proceeding and in case you don't feel good about your free lawyer then you can apply before the authority seeking a change in your lawyer with appropriate reasons. thanks & regards, Tanmoy Chattopadhyay, M.Sc (Net qualified), LL.B (University of Delhi), Advocate, Hon'ble High Court at Calcutta.
