Regarding Christian Marriage Law

18-Jan-2023 (In Divorce Law)
My freind met a girl at his church , she was not Christian by birth but got converted and was attending church( proteston). They liked each other and got Married at same church within a month. Apart from church formalities their marriage is not legally registered. Things went south soon , they got seperated within 5-6 months of staying together as she was physically violent and abusive towards her husband . But she filed a FIR at local station saying she was the victim. Somehow they got seperated and she did come back and apologized and tried to mend things but he didn’t agree. He’s filed a divorce but she doesnot always show up in court and not being flexible. One moment she says she wants to go mutually and next moment she backs off . It’s gonna be 5 years but still the case is stuck . I don’t know much about what his lawyers are doing or planning and I am worried because 4 years is not a short time. He says it’s going on and he wants to make sure that she doesn’t claim alimony.

since the matter is already in court and if she has engaged an advocate and there is a reply filed in the court , I want to see the case file and the reply filed by her before giving any opinion in this matter.
