recovery of dowry/marraige expenses

How to recover maaraige expenses and dowry. we gave dowry as cash. Marraige expenses we have bills of catering,chowltry etc.

there is no provision in law for getting that. taking and giving dowry both are punishable in law. but by filing maintenance case you can calculate a higher alimony and by that way you can recover the amount .
