Question regarding Anticipatory bail in Hindu marriage

Do we need anticipatory bail when wife filed for contested divorce (not the mutual) and threatening for domestic violence/dowry case?

If wife filed contested divorce you not required to get anticipatory bail . In family court case whether it's a mutual divorce or contested divorce husband no need to take anticipatory bail . In case if wife filed dowry harassment case against husband then need to take bail .

Anticipatory bail is not automatically required just because your wife has filed a contested divorce petition or is threatening domestic violence/dowry cases. It becomes relevant only if a criminal FIR is actually registered against you and you have a reasonable apprehension of arrest.

For applying for anticipatory bail you are required to show threat of arrest which is FIR registered against you. So if you do not want to sign mutual divorce petition you have to wait till she really files a dowry complaint. For DV you don't need anticipatory bail.
