Query for a Women- Christian wedding

I got married in Karnataka and stayed at my husband place there. We have a kid. Myself and my kid were abused by my in-law, after that I came to my father place in Tamil Nadu. If I have to file a divorce or maintenance case where should I do. Some tell I have to do in Karnataka since it’s a Christian marriage.
Note: both are Christians and we have registered our marriage. Place of marriage and the place I lived after marriage was in Karnataka. My native is Tamil Nadu and my address proof everything is here in Tamil Nadu.
