I want divorce from my husband because of his abusive nature we got married in 2014 under hindu marriage act and we have a girl child together born in 2017. I want to know about custody of my child and expenses/alimony after the divorce.

you can get divorce from your husband on the basis cruelty. custody of the girl child normally with mother, so if you are separating from your husband then try to keep the child with you and thereafter the her custody will remain with you. as far as maintenance is concerned you are entitled for the same till you got married. for maintenance you don't need to wait for divorce. you can simultaneously go for divorce and maintenance.
