Physical harassment and mental torture by husband What to do

31-Jul-2023 (In Divorce Law)
I got married in temple on Feb 2016. After marriage my hubby consoled me and helped me in clearing my financial debt to lead a peaceful life. I was very happy but later the worst days started when I realised he doesnt want to giveup drinking habit and not interested to work being a Doctor. He started physical harassing me & asking me to get out of the house & return the amount given to me but after a while convincing that he doesnt want to send me because he loves me a lot.Today same drama & asked me to write a letter stating to return the money by 6mths, then only will let me out of the house

In this case, it is a case of domestic violence, u can file a case of domestic violence in court and get orders not to evict u from the house, further u can get orders not to assault you or cause any harassment, further u also have an option to claim separate residence with maintenance, further the amount paid by him is not a loan he has paid it of his own and even if he has taken in writing it cannot be recovered as it is paid to wife and even if case is filed u can defend it, hence file a case of domestic violence now and if it is impossible to stay with him, take orders from court and after expiry of a year after marriage go for divorce, at present u can get orders for maintenance and residence, further even a protection officer is also appointed, further a case under section 498 A can be filed for harassment. Good day madam.
