Physical and mental harassment by daughter in law

Hi, My brother is in abusive marriage from last 11 years. She is forcing to stay separated from parents. She is continuously abusing my parents and brother. In front of her family she call my brother impotent. Now his wife and her members crossed all limits ,, they came to our house with 30 goons ( all drunk) and police to harm parents and brother. Though there were no FIR registered against my parents and brother still police forced them to make sign on settlement letter written on page.

your brother has the option to file the divorce against his wife and when all the goons had come to your house you had to registered a FIR against them if you have anything else kindly contact me for further query

You need to file complaint to police against wife and all her family members who are harassing and threatening you and your family. if police do not take any action then you can file a complaint case through court. .

Hello there, I understand it's a difficult situation and the above incident shared indicate that there are high chances that there can be further issue and in the family and the Indian laws are more inclined towards women and there welfare... However as per Delhi High Court Ruling... a wife should not insist on living separately from in-laws without any justifiable reason. In case it's an abusive marriage and the whole family is suffering in that case your brother can seek divorce or can stay separately with the wife in another house to save his marriage as per his choice

you can go to high court file a petition foe cruelty a suit for defamation can also be filed criminally liable for trespass. do you have a child. though no fir is registered the settlement paper is drawn
