Our marriage is nulled void, so how much time will take for divorce

As i am living with my parents since 3 years. I don't want to continue my marriage, how can I get divorce from husband as he didn't care me or my baby. Didn't give any financial support before or after baby. Is it compulsory to attend counseling before filing for divorce?
Husband is stoking me since 3 years. I told him don't want to continue marriage, but he is not listening. Me and my 2 year daughter is living with my parents. my gold jewelry (stridhan)and my all belongings with him only I asked him for that he is not giving me back.
I went for getting my stridhan, but his mother didn't gave me and shut her front door.so I can't get in the house. What is the procedure for divorce and how much time it will take? Please advice me.
As you had mentioned that you are staying with your parents for last 3 year and husband did not provide you financial support that means he has deserted you and that itself is a ground for contested divorce. You may ask for your stridhan from court.

Dear queriest, as per your query if your for divorce under cruelty or desertion grounds then it may take time for divorce, and if your going for mutual consent divorce then it will take time period of 6 months, and the question of getting back your stridhan will be taken in the presence of court with the direction of thr court.
