NRI divorce - Australian divorce recognition in India

Hello sir/madam. My name is Simi. I am Indian citizen residing in Australia. I got married in India as per Hindu marriage act. My husband was having multiple extra marital affairs. He never came to Australia. I filed a divorce in Australia and my lawyer asked me to send him papers to sign. I served him divorce papers, he signed them and I got the papers attested from a lawyer. I got divorced in Australia and remarry here. So do I need to register the divorce in India? Please elaborate the things
